EQUINE BODYWORK

EQUINE SPORTS & REHABILITATION MASSAGE

What?

Equine Sports Massage involves hands on massage techniques that help to release muscle pain and tension caused by the daily routine of the modern equine.

Over 60% of the horses bodyweight is muscle which is why Equine Sports Massage is an essential part of your animals routine, every equine from the happy hacker to the Grand Prix horse benefits greatly.

It can take up to 3 months for equines to show signs of a small muscle injury by which time more damage has been caused due to lack of treatment, hence routine massage is so important. Prompt attention to these "minor" muscle injuries not only enhances an equines performance but can also prevent future problems.

Muscle tightening is transmitted from one muscle group to another, this results in extra stress being placed on the tendons so full body massage also helps your equines soundness and longevity of life.
